Tower Stocks Lower on Sprint's (S) Play for T-Mobile USA (AMT) (FTR) (SBAC)

Tower stocks are trading lower today on rumors that Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) is in talks with Deutsche Telekom about a potential T-Mobile USA merger.

Sprint accounted for 16% of American Tower (NYSE: AMT) revs in 2010, with Sprint AT&T Mobility (NYSE: T), Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) and T-Mobile accounting for 74% of domestic rental, management revenue in 2010.

Sprint accounted for 20% of SBA Communications Corp. (Nasdaq: SBAC) revs, with T-Mobile pumping in an additional 12%. Sprint provided 20% of Crown Castle Int'l (NYSE: CCI) revs in 2010, and T-Mobile provided an additional 11%.

How are the stocks moving? American Tower is down 2.2%, Frontier Communications Corp. (NYSE: FTR) is off 0.8%, SBA Communications is 2.2% lower and Crown Castle is 2.6% lower.
