Stocks in the Ag sector moved lower today despite bullish comments from a Barclays analyst earlier. At last check, the Market Vectors Agribusiness ETF (NYSE: MOO) is down 0.23%.

Barclays said it expects agriculture to lead the commodities markets over the next month or so as "fundamentals in grains markets look especially strong, supported by weather concerns in the U.S. over the winter wheat crop, further downgrades to 2010-11 harvest estimates, strong demand from the energy sector and expectations of rising Chinese import requirements."

Elsewhere in the sector:
  • Potash (NYSE: POT) - down 0.3% to $181.56
  • Agrium (NYSE: AGU) - down 0.5% to $91.52
  • Mosaic (NYSE: MOS) - down 0.5% to $82.64
  • CF Industries (NYSE: CF) - up 0.1% to $142.40
  • Intrepid Potash (NYSE: IPI) down 0.1% to $37.01
