Aixtron AG (AIXG) Jumps On Reports of Large China Order, Rival Veeco (VECO) Gets Caught Up in the Action

Aixtron AG (Nasdaq: AIXG) is 8 percent higher today on reports from Digitimes.com the company had received a significant rder from a Chinese LED maker.
Shares of Germany-based Aixtron AG last traded at $35.80 in U.S. trading, up 8 percent from yesterday's close. The day's range has been $35.51-$36.41.
China's LED industry is expected to install 700 to 800 MOCVD machines in 2011, more than double 2010, Digitimes.com reported. This would also be a positive for U.S.-based Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: VECO).
Shares of VECO are up 6%.
