Shares of Guess? Inc. (NYSE: GES) are are down 31 cents to $45.03 in midday market movement on Tuesday ahead of the company's second-quarter earnings release scheduled for after the closing bell.

The clothing apparel company is expected by analysts to report earnings of $0.59 per share on revenue of $580.44 million.

In the second quarter, Guess reported earnings of $0.72 per share, beating the analyst estimate of $0.68. The company reported second-quarter revenue of $577.1 million, fall short of the consensus of $575.92 million.

Analyst Comments

Wedbush maintains a Neutral rating on Guess with a $46 price target.

Wedbush analyst says, "While we continue to view shares attractive for LT shareholders given the plethora of growth opportunities domestically and internationally facing GES, we prefer to see stabilizing trends in North America (~46% of sales) to drive improved earnings profitability before becoming more aggressive with our Neutral rating."


Since the start of the third quarter, shares of Guess are down $6.78 or 17.73 percent. Year-to-date the stock is down $2.73 or 6.45 percent.

A valuation shows that Guess is going for a forward P/E of 15.70x full year 2010 estimates.
