Rumors breed on Wall Street. Below is a run-down of today's top talk:
- Analysts at UBS said a takeover of Brocade Communications (Nasdaq: BRCD) seems unlikely, following yesterday's rumors which created a 11% surge in the stock.
- Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: SVNT) is continuing its post Krystexxa-approval run-up on takeover speculation. The company stated in would seek a sale of the company following approval of the gout drug. The stock is up over 50 percent since the approval.
- For those holding your breath for a Verizon (NYSE: VZ) iPhone, you may want to stop. While it is likely coming, it may not be anytime soon.
- Unsubstantiated takeover talk surrounded Clean Energy Fuels (Nasdaq: CLNE), Janus Capital Group (NYSE: JNS), Office Depot (NYSE: ODP), and Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq: FIRE) today.
- Dabroes (Da Bros), a hedge fund run by brothers Abe and Jack Eisenstat, is up 25 percent so far this year. But what's up with that name?
