Rumors, Rumors everywhere. Below are some top talk on Wall Street today:

  • Rumored private equity takeover target Saks (NYSE: SKS) is 2 percent higher today on continued speculation a deal could be announced. There have been questions about if the initial reports were accurate.

  • Couche-Tard said is would be willing to further increase their offer for Casey's General Store (Nasdaq: CASY) in a letter to shareholders. They said the $40 per share offer from 7-Eleven is not guaranteed.

  • A China-backed consortium could help finance a management-led buyout of PotashCorp. (NYSE: POT), topping the $130 takeover bid from BHP Billiton (NYSE: BHP).

  • Deutsche Bank said the takeover speculation on Genpact (NYSE: G) is likely unfounded.

  • FBR sees XL Group (NYSE: XL) and Eastern Insurance (Nasdaq: EIHI) as possible takeover targets in Property/Casualty Insurance.

  • Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. (NYSE: PEG) could announce a $500M-$1B stock buyback soon, according to analysts at Goldman Sachs.

  • Unsubstantiated takeover chatter on Akamai Technologies (Nasdaq: AKAM), Blue Coat Systems Inc (Nasdaq: BCSI), and Saks Incorporated (NYSE: SKS).
