Leap Wireless (Nasdaq: LEAP) is seeing interest today on renewed speculation that the company could be the target of a takeover bid.
While today's talk is unsubstantiated, Leap Wireless is number 45 on the 'Top 50 Takeover Targets' list at StreetInsider.com's M&A Central.
In the 2007, MetroPCS Communications (NYSE: PCS) attempted a merger with Leap, but was unsuccessful.
Shares of Leap are up 3.5 percent today to $11.63.
