Guess? (GES) Shares Trade Higher as Barron's Sees Expansion and Growth in the Stock (ANF)

Shares of Guess?, Inc. (NYSE: GES) are trading higher in the early session on positive mention by Barron's. Shares are up 2.6% to $50.91.

Barron's notes that same store sales turned positive for the first time since mid-2008, up 5.3% Barron's also sees sales growing by potentially double-digits to $2.4 billion.

CEO Paul Marciano expects to increase North American stores by 12% this year, with additions like lower-priced G by Guess, Guess by Marciano for the older-than-25 set, and Guess accessories stores.

Guess is also going for about 19x FY10 EPS estimates [or 14x ex. cash holdings], whcih compares favorably to rival Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE :ANF), which is trading for 26x FY10 EPS estimates.

Overseas, the company has net margins of 10%, trumping the industries 3.2% average.
