An analyst at Citigroup started coverage on several Airline stocks yesterday after the close:
  • Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) with a Buy rating and $13 price target. Southwest shares are up 2.4% to $9.41 in the pre-market trading session. Citi's new target suggests possible upside of more than 38%.
  • JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) with a Buy rating and $7.50 price target. JBLU is up 2.7% to $6.10 before the opening bell, representing possible price appreciation of about 23% to Citi's new price target.
  • AMR Corp. (NYSE: AMR) with a Hold rating and $8 price target. Shares of AMR are up 3% to $7.67 in the pre-market session, suggesting potential upside of about 4% from current levels.
These stocks are trading higher today on the back of better-than-expected Q3 results from UAL Corp. (Nasdaq: UAUA). Shares of UAL are up 3.9% to $7.53.
