Buffett Shows New Stake In Beckton Dickson (BDX), Up Stake in J&J (JNJ)

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.a) released its 13F for the quarter ended 6/30/09. Notably, Buffet showed a new 1.2 million share stake in medical supply company Beckton Dickson (NYSE: BDX) and also raised his stake in pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ). The value of Buffett's reported holdings rose from $41 billion to $49 billion quarter-over-quarter.

  • New 1,200,000 shares stake in Beckton Dickson (NYSE: BDX).
  • Raises his stake in Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) by about 4.4 million shares.
  • Lowers stake in Wellpoint Inc. (NYSE: WLP) from 4,777,300 shares to 3,500,000 shares.
  • Lowers his stake in United Health (NYSE: UNH) from 4,500,000 shares to 3,400,000 shares
  • Lowers stake in Home Depot Inc. (NYSE: HD) from 3,700,000 shares to 2,757,898 shares.
  • Lowers stake in Eaton Corporation (NYSE: ETN) from 3,200,000 shares to 2,000,000 shares
  • Lowers stake in Carmax Inc. (NYSE: KMX) from 12,000,000 share to 9,000,000 shares.
  • Maintains 200 million share stake in Coca-Cola stake (NYSE: KO), his 1st largest holding
  • Maintains 302.6 million shares stake in Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC), his 2d largest holding
  • Buffett did not disclose his large position in Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS)
    in the 13F, covering warrants and perpetual preferred stock.
