Freeport (FCX) Stock Up 13% on Q4 Earnings Beat

Shares of Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE: FCX) have now surged more than 13% on much better-than-expected Q4 earnings. Analysts had been expecting the massive mining company to report a loss per share of $1.12, but the company actually posted a gain after adjustments.

Notably, the stock opened today's session only 3% higher, but shares have now jumped about 10% on heavy volume in the last few minutes of trading.
