Pre-Open Movers 11/20: Blue Coat (BCSI) Soars on Results, Freddie Mac (FRE) Stinks The Place Up

Blue Coat Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI) 18.5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.30, ex-items, above the consensus of $0.24. Revenues came in at $73.4 million, versus the consensus of $68.9 million. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.31-$0.35, versus the consensus of $0.26. Sees Q3 revenues of $78-$81 million, versus the consensus of $74.2 million.

Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) 18% LOWER; reports a Q3 EPS of $3.29, which may not compare with the consensus of a $0.22 loss. Freddie Mac engaged Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers as financial advisors to help it consider very near term capital raising alternatives. Freddie Mac is also seriously considering reducing its fourth quarter common stock dividend by 50 percent.

Restoration Hardware Inc. (Nasdaq: RSTO) 16% HIGHER; Sears (Nasdaq: SHLD) discloses 13.7% stake in Restoration Hardware and disclosed talks regarding a potential takeover.

Fannie Mae (NYSE: FNM) 13% LOWER; Big loss at Freddie Mac

Giant Interactive Group Inc. (NYSE: GA) 11% LOWER; Net revenue for the third quarter of 2007 was RMB405.2 million (US$54.1 million), an increase of 164.2% over the third quarter of 2006 and 9.5% over the second quarter of 2007. Net income per ordinary share for the third quarter of 2007 was RMB1.44 (US$0.19), compared to RMB0.57 for the third quarter of 2006. Giant expects to generate total net revenues for the fourth quarter in the range of RMB425 million to RMB430 million.

Nordstrom's (NYSE: JWN) 10% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.59, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.52). Revenues for the quarter were $1.97 Billion in line with analysts consensus. Nordstrom's raises buyback by $1 billion to $2.5 billion. Nordstrom's full year 07 guidance $2.88-$2.92 versus consensus of $2.76.

General Moly (AMEX: GMO) 9% HIGHER; announced a strategic relationship with ArcelorMittal S.A

WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) 9% HIGHER; CIBC upgrades WellCare Health Plans, Inc. from Sector Perform to Sector Outperform (Speculative).

Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. (NYSE: DKS) 7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.10, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenues for the quarter were $838.8 million, versus the consensus of $848.94 million. Dick's boosted its FY07 EPS guidance from $1.24-$1.25 to about $1.29, versus the consensus of $1.25. Q4 EPS are expected to be about $0.59, versus the consensus of $0.59.

Focus Media (Nasdaq: FMCN) 7% LOWER; reported Q3 earnings of $0.43., 1 cent worse than the analyst estimate of $0.44. Revenues for the quarter were $151.4 million, versus the consensus of $129.4 million. Focus Media Q4 guidance EPS $0.48 to $0.50 consensus is $0.49. Revenues 160 to 170 million versus consensus of 142.6 million

GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME) 7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.31, above the consensus of $0.23. Revenues came in at $1.61 billion, versus the consensus of $1.44 billion. GameStop sees Q4 EPS of $0.95-$0.97, versus the consensus of $1.01. GameStop raises FY EPS guidance to $1.61-$1.63, above the consensus of $1.57.

EchoStar Communications Corp. (Nasdaq: DISH) 6% LOWER; Gives back some of yesterday's 19% gains which was related to takeover speculation. Some are now saying a deal may not be immenent.

Zarlink Semiconductor Inc. (NYSE: ZL) 2.4% LOWER; lowers guidance. Sees third quarter revenue between US$48 million and US$51 million, versus prior guidance of US$55 million to US$58 million. Sees a net loss of $0.13-$0.15, versus prior guidance of a $0.08-$0.10 loss.

Target Corp. (NYSE: TGT) 2.4% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.56, below the consensus of $0.62. Target will buyback up to $10 billion in shares.

Wynn Resorts Ltd. (Nasdaq: WYNN) 2% HIGHER; Jefferies upgrades to Buy

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) 1.2% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.86, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.82. Revenues for the quarter were $28.3 billion, versus the consensus of $27.39 billion. The Company expects Q1 revenues of $27.4 to $27.5 billion, versus the consensus of $26.99 billion. Q1 EPS are expected to be about $0.80, versus the consensus of $0.77. HPQ's Board of Directors also announced it will repurchase an additional $8 billion of the Company's common stock.
