Sina Corp. (Nasdaq: SINA) 9% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.32, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenues for the quarter were $64.3 million, versus the consensus of $64.57 million. Sina expects Q4 revenues to be between $68 and $70 million, versus the consensus of $69.56.
PetSmart (Nasdaq: PETM) 6% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.23, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenues for the quarter were $1.1 billion, versus the consensus of $1.12 billion.
FCStone Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FCSX) 5.6% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.42, above the consensus of $0.21. Revenues came in at $75.6 million, versus the consensus of $61.3 million
eDiets.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: DIET) 5% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.10), 6 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.04). Revenues for the quarter were $6.8 million, versus the consensus of $7.25 million. The Company expects FY08 revenues of about $50 million, versus the consensus of $38.6 million.
CarMax Inc. (NYSE: KMX) 5% HIGHER; Warren Buffett Berkshire shows a 13,981,800 share stake.
J. C. Penney Company, Inc (NYSE: JCP) 3.7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.03, ex-items, versus the consensus of $1.01. Revenues came in at $4.7 billion, versus the consensus of $4.76 billion. J. C. Penney now expects fourth quarter earnings to be in a range of $1.65 to $1.80 per share. This compares with previous guidance of $2.41 per share. J. C. Penney is taking a more cautious view of the consumer environment and now expects 2007 full year earnings to be in the range of $4.63 to $4.78 per share. This compares to the Company’s previous guidance of $5.50 per share.
Applied Materials (Nasdaq: AMAT) 3% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.30 ($0.34 ex-items), versus the analyst estimate of $0.29. Revenues for the quarter were $2.37 billion, versus the consensus of $2.3 billion.
