Raymond James analyst Nicholas Holowko resumes coverage on Ally Financial (NYSE: ALLY) with a Strong Buy rating and a price target of $55.00.
The analyst comments "We resume coverage of ALLY with a Strong Buy rating as improving margin, stabilizing credit, and stronger capital generation support a meaningful step-up in earnings and ROTCE. Core NIM should continue to expand as ALLY’s balance sheet remixes, while auto credit trends have been on an improving trajectory. At the same time, improving ROTCE and capital generation should create greater capacity for share repurchases. We estimate 2026/2027 EPS of $5.25/$6.50 and see valuation as attractive at ~6.5x our 2027 EPS estimate, with our $55 price target implying ~8.5x earnings and 1.1x forward P/TBV."
