Wolfe Research analyst Scott Group upgraded Westinghouse Air Brake (NYSE: WAB) from Peerperform to Outperform, PT $245.00.
The analyst comments "WAB’s stock increased 13% last year, outperforming our Transport coverage but still modestly lagging the broader market. The stock lagged in the back half of the year with signs of slower organic growth, tariff noise, and with an overhang from the pending UNP-NSC merger. But looking ahead, we expect organic growth to re- accelerate in C26, along with overall growth following a couple of larger acquisitions. In addition, the recent UNP merger application suggests more upside potential for WAB from the merger than we originally expected. We also remain confident in WAB’s ability to pass through tariff costs which should peak in 1H. Thus, we believe WAB remains well positioned for continued double-digit EPS growth the next couple of years."
