Raymond James analyst Steve Moss raised the price target on Customers Bancorp (NYSE: CUBI) to $95.00 (from $85.00) while maintaining a Strong Buy rating.
The analyst comments "Business momentum remains strong for CUBI heading into the New Year which bodes well for an upward bias to estimates. CUBI’s new 2025 deposit teams are off to a strong start, and the deposit pipeline bodes well for strong core deposit growth in 2026, which should support a rerating of the stock as franchise value continues to improve. Loan demand remains very strong, but management prefers to grow at a more moderate pace near-term versus the exceptionally strong 6.8% LQ growth reported in 3Q25. Additional oars in the water to drive upside include the bank’s Venture Banking Group and the potential passage of CLARITY in 2026 that could add to cubiX deposits. Given strong momentum and sustained growth in CUBI’s core business and the investment and development of attractive verticals like cubiX/real-time payments and Venture Banking we reiterate our Strong Buy and raise our price target to $95, from $85, to reflect our upwardly revised estimates and our belief that the discount valuation should narrow as the Street gives CUBI credit for TBV compounding (we estimate a six-year CAGR of 15.4% by YE26), and the retention of SBNY teams for two years in April 2026."
