Stifel analyst Paul Matteis raised the price target on Acadia Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ACAD) to $25.00 (from $24.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
The analyst commented, "ACAD had a strong year in 2025 coming off of a disappointing 2024, which culminated in leadership changes. Under new management, while 2025 saw a disappointing guide and performance from Daybue (it’s expected to come in at the low end of the range) along with a phase 3 failure in their high-risk/high-reward PWS program, the year was marked by a key surprise IP win for Nuplazid—extending expected LOE from 2030 to 2038—along with continued momentum in the franchise’s commercial execution, with sales expected to grow a very respectable 13% YoY. As we look ahead to 2026, for the stock to outperform we believe it would take a real return to growth from Daybue or a win for the next-gen 5-HT2A receptor inverse agonist, ACP-204, where ph2 data in ADP are expected in the middle of next year. This represents a key, potentially stock-moving catalyst for ACAD. We remain skeptical but acknowledge the risk/reward is upside biased."
