Veea Inc. (NASDAQ: VEEA) announced a collaboration with Viasat Mexico to deliver managed Wi-Fi and edge computing applications to underserved communities across Mexico. The partnership combines Veea's VeeaONE intelligent edge platform with Viasat Mexico's satellite and terrestrial network infrastructure.

The collaboration utilizes Viasat Mexico's existing network of 1,600 satellite terminals that support "Internet para Todos" services, 75 Smart Villages sites, and LTE coverage across 13 states. The companies completed their first deployment in Cuetzalingo and plan to expand the service nationwide.

Veea's VeeaHub devices create mesh networks that extend internet access through satellite, fiber, and cellular connections while hosting applications locally. The platform enables telemedicine, agriculture applications, digital commerce, remote education, and environmental monitoring services.

"By combining VeeaONE intelligent edge platform with Viasat's proven hybrid networks, we're not just connecting people - we're unlocking human potential in communities lacking wide area coverage," said Allen Salmasi, CEO of Veea.

Héctor Rivero, General Manager of Viasat Mexico, stated that the initiative transforms connectivity infrastructure into platforms for economic development and social progress. The collaboration supports Viasat Mexico's Embajadoras Mexico Program, which partners with local representatives to develop digital skills in connected communities.

Viasat Mexico operates internet services across more than 1,600 communities and provides LTE networks in 13 states. Veea, founded in 2014 and headquartered in New York City, develops edge computing platforms that integrate connectivity, computing, storage, and cybersecurity services.
