Piper Sandler analyst Edward Tenthoff reiterated an Overweight rating and $63.00 price target on Moderna (NASDAQ: MRNA).
The analyst commented: "Project Revenue Growth to Resume; A revolution is taking place in RNA Medicines. Moderna expects to submit regulatory filings for mRNA-1010 by January. Flu+COVID vaccine mRNA-1083 is under review in Europe, as Moderna awaits FDA guidance. Moderna continues to enroll the Phase III trial of norovirus vaccine mRNA-1403 with an interim analyst in 2026. Moderna and Merck could report Phase III INTerpath-001 melanoma data on intismeran + KEYTRUDA in 3Q:26 with potential approval in 2027. Moderna completed enrollment in the registrational PA trial of mRNA-3927 with data in 2026, and will initiate registrational MMA trial of mRNA-3705. Moderna expects growth driven by mNEXSPIKE in 2026; mRNA-1010 (flu), intismeran and European sales in 2027; and mRNA-1083 (flu+COVID) and mRNA-1403 (norovirus) in 2028. Moderna ended 3Q:25 with cash of $6.65 billion, entered a new credit facility and reiterated break-even guidance for 2028. We reiterate our Overweight rating and $63 target."
