Guggenheim Upgrades Neumora Therapeutics (NMRA) to Buy

Guggenheim analyst Yatin Suneja upgraded Neumora Therapeutics (NASDAQ: NMRA) from Neutral to Buy with a price target of $14.00.

The analyst comments "Following NMRA's compelling preclinical obesity data and positive VTX-3232 (VTYX) Phase II results (see HERE), we view NMRA's NLRP3i program in obesity and related cardiometabolic disorders as a clear driver to value creation, and we are upgrading NMRA to Buy from Neutral. Our revised investment thesis rests on the following points: (1) compelling DIO mouse model data and BIC pharmacology indicate translational potential for metabolic efficacy in humans, supporting a path in obesity, where we project ~$3B in global peak sales, if approved; (2) potential GLP-1 synergy, corroborated by NMRA preclinical data and VTYX's combo results, offers the opportunity to complement incretins by addressing residual CV and hepatic inflammation, while potentially enhancing weight loss; (3) VTYX's Ph II data have de-risked CV indications, providing a solid potential alternative path; (4) CNS NLRP-3 inhibition offers optionality also in large-markets neurology indications, including Parkinson's; (5) while our confidence on the MDD program remains low, success there would add significant near-term upside; (6) additional value could come from the '511 program in ADA and the M4 franchise in schizophrenia, with near-term catalysts ~YE25 and in mid-2026, respectively. With compelling translational signals in obesity, a validated path in CV risk reduction, and multiple near-term catalysts, we expect investor interest and positioning to build steadily over the upcoming months.
