Guggenheim analyst Gregory Francfort lowered the price target on McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) to $295.00 (from $310.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst commented: "We are lowering our estimates on MCD and maintaining our Neutral rating on shares. Our 2025 and 2026 EPS each come down $0.25 to $12.20/$13.25 vs. $12.34/ $13.35 consensus. Our price target drops to $295 from $310 as we trim our multiple to 22.5x 2026 EPS from 23x given softer restaurant trends. We believe the exit rate for restaurant sector trends in 3Q was far below investor expectations and raises significant questions about 2026 algorithms, particularly at a time when some executive teams will start issuing guidance for next year. But this phenomenon has been broad-based rather than a McDonald’s-specific issue."
