CFRA analyst Jonathan Sakraida downgraded Vertiv Holdings Co. (NYSE: VRT) from Strong Buy to Buy with a price target of $180.00 (from $165.00).
The analyst comments "Ahead of VRT's Q3 earnings print, we lift our 12-month target price to $180 from $165 and moderate our recommendation to Buy from Strong Buy. Our target update values shares at 37.2x our 2026 EPS estimate of $4.85 (up from $4.75; 2025 EPS increased by $0.01 to $3.83, above the company's long-term average multiple given an accelerated earnings growth trajectory amid AI-infrastructure spend. While we believe the premium is easily warranted and continue to see upside at current levels, shares have gained ~40% YTD and now have less room to run in the near term, in our opinion. Fundamentally, we remain bullish as VRT solidifies its competitive positioning within data center markets via timely M&A deals and new production introductions. Despite enduring and overblown concerns of a pullback in investment, data center spending remains in an upward trend and has been consistently extending further into record territory."
