Consolidated Water adds three independent directors to board

Consolidated Water Co. Ltd. (NASDAQ: CWCO) appointed three new independent directors to its board effective October 1, 2025, according to a company statement.

The new directors are Kim Adamson, Maria Elena Giner, and Gerónimo Gutiérrez Fernández. All three bring water industry experience to the Cayman Islands-based company that designs and operates water treatment plants.

Adamson has nearly 30 years of water industry experience, including 10 years as General Manager of public water utilities. She previously held leadership positions at Brown and Caldwell, Kiewit Infrastructure Group, and Algonquin Power and Utilities Corporation. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Giner brings more than 35 years of executive leadership in water infrastructure and environmental policy. She served as Commissioner of the International Boundary and Water Commission, where she administered a capital program exceeding $1 billion and oversaw water infrastructure including dams, power plants, and treatment facilities. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas.

Gutiérrez Fernández is Managing Partner of BEEL Infrastructure, a financial advisory firm in Mexico City. He served as Mexico's ambassador to the United States from 2017 to 2018 and was Managing Director of the North American Development Bank from 2010 to 2016. He holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

"We interviewed numerous candidates during our thorough search process, and each of these individuals distinguished themselves with their education and qualifications, depth of experience in the water industry, and career achievements," said Board Chairman Wil Pergande.

Consolidated Water operates seawater desalination facilities in the Cayman Islands, The Bahamas, and the British Virgin Islands, and has a $204 million design-build-operate project underway for a seawater desalination plant in Hawaii.
