Citi analyst Steven Zaccone reiterated a Neutral rating and $5.00 price target on Petco Heath & Wellness Co. Inc. (NASDAQ: WOOF)
The analyst comments "Today’s appointment of Sabrina Simmons (former Gap, Inc.) as the new CFO and Michael Romanko (former Five Below) as the new Chief Customer & Product Officer completes the trifecta of impressive leadership hiring at WOOF. It started with Glenn Murphy being named Executive Chairman in May and Joel Anderson being named CEO in July. In our view, the long history of retail success shared by WOOF leadership is a competitive advantage. That said, we continue to believe WOOF is not an easy turnaround. Circling back to our December meeting with CEO Anderson (see note here), 2025 was cited as a year to build momentum and setup the foundation for 2026. Today’s announcement shows the complete team is in place to get to work. In the near-term, management did not comment on 4Q results or reiterate prior guidance. WOOF will report 4Q earnings & provide 2025 guidance in late March."
