BTIG analyst David Larsen initiates coverage on IQVIA Holdings (NYSE: IQV) with a Buy rating and a price target of $285.00.
The analyst comments "We are initiating coverage of IQVIA Holdings (IQV) with a Buy rating and a PT of $285. We like IQV mainly because it is considered the gold standard for biopharma data analytics services which can be wrapped around clinical trial research efforts. IQV brings massive scale, depth of capabilities, and geographic reach that in our view are unmatched. IQV can support clinical trial, research, and commercialization efforts more effectively than many of its peers mainly because the company can use its data for price discovery, market analysis, and the data can enhance patient and site selection, all while IQV implements and manages clinical trials. As the broader stock market rallies, we believe that macro uncertainties will ease, which should cause demand within Technology and Analytics (TAS) to re-accelerate. The leadership team of IQV is seasoned and proven, and we are impressed that a company with ~$15B in annual revenue can grow revenue ~10% y/y organically excluding unusual items like COVID and FX. IQV is taking a leadership role in driving the industry forward despite its massive size. IQV's 2025E EBITDA margin of ~23% is also well above the HCIT sector average of ~15%, and the stock seems undervalued to us."
