Piper Sandler analyst Paul Newsome upgraded Old Republic International (NYSE: ORI) from Neutral to Overweight with a price target of $32.00.
The analyst comments "We think the market over-reacted to ORI's fourth quarter earnings miss. We think the stock is attractively priced at just over 9 times 2025 earnings. At just over 9 times forward 2025 earnings, ORI is now relatively inexpensive versus both its title insurance peers that trade at about 10 times forward earnings and its property-casualty insurance peers that trade 11-12 times. At just 119% of book value, ORI is one of the least expensive stocks in our coverage with title peers trading at least that level and its P/C peers trading around 150% of book value."
