TD Cowen analyst Phil Nadeau weighed in on Apellis Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: APLS) after shares fell 38% after six cases of retinal vasculitis have been reported with Syfovre.
The analyst commented, "During TD Cowen Rounds @ Cleveland Clinic today we discussed the situation with a retinal KOL. He thinks understanding the cause and mitigating the risk will be key to Syfovre's uptake and potential. His initial guess is that the cause is due to manufacturing or delivery and not mechanism, implying to us the issue is likely solvable."
The analyst reiterated an Outperform rating and $95.00 price target on APLS.
