Stifel analyst Dae Gon Ha reiterated a Hold rating and {REMOVEPT} price target on Homology Medicines (NASDAQ: FIXX) in light of the upcoming catalysts.

The analyst quotes: "Despite other pipeline assets beyond HMI-102 (adults; phenylketonuria [PKU]), we suspect investor interest in the subsequent more nascent programs hinges on the success of the lead program. To that end, mid-2022 update for HMI-102 continues to represent an important binary catalyst for the stock. That said, FIXX has leveraged its proprietary hematopoietic stem cell-derived adeno-associated virus vectors (AAVHSCs) to advance other programs into the clinic including HMI-203 (mucopolysaccharidosis II [MPSII] or Hunter syndrome) as Ph.1 juMPStart trial gets under way. At WORLD 2022, supportive preclinical data and the juMPStart trial design were presented, some of which build on previously disclosed data. Mindful of the translation gap between preclinical models and human subjects, the preclinical data nevertheless strike us as encouraging and when combined with the extensive MPSII clinical experience engendered by FIXX's leadership, we wonder if HMI-203 could be considered partially de-risked even at this juncture. Reiterate Hold."
