Blue Apron (APRN) Misses Q1 EPS by 2c, Offers Outlook

Blue Apron (NYSE: APRN) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.88), $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.86). Revenue for the quarter came in at $129.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $127.3 million.

GUIDANCE:

Blue Apron sees Q2 2021 revenue of $122-126 million, versus the consensus of $141.5 million.

  • For the second quarter, the company expects net revenue will be approximately $122 million to $126 million. The company expects to incur a net loss of no more than $17 million and an adjusted EBITDA loss of no more than $7 million.
  • For the full year 2021, Blue Apron expects to generate high single-digit to low double-digit net revenue growth, with the expectation that the second half of 2021 will demonstrate a return to year-over-year growth following the slight expected decline in the second quarter.For the second quarter, the company expects net revenue will be approximately $122 million to $126 million.
