Raymond James analyst Pavel Molchanov reiterated a Strong Buy rating and $18.00 price target on Green Plains Partners LP (NASDAQ: GPP), saying rough 2019 for r U.S. Ethanol ended on brighter note.
The analyst commented, "There is no disputing the past year's twin political headwinds for the U.S. corn ethanol industry: on the domestic front (EPA's small refinery waivers) and internationally (U.S.-China trade war, currently in a truce). Over the medium-term, though, we envision modest growth in industry volumes as E15 becomes more mainstream and, concurrently, a broader range of export opportunities materialize. As the parent company increasingly diversifies beyond ethanol, there is room for other types of dropdowns to GPP, but our estimates do not ascribe any credit for them. We reiterate our Strong Buy rating."
