Union Pacific (UNP) Raises Quarterly Dividend 10.2% to $0.97; 2.2% Yield

Union Pacific (NYSE: UNP) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.97 per share, or $3.88 annualized. This is a 10.2% increase from the prior dividend of $0.88.
The dividend will be payable on September 30, 2019, to stockholders of record on August 30, 2019, with an ex-dividend date of August 29, 2019.
The annual yield on the dividend is 2.2 percent.
"The dividend increase demonstrates our continued confidence in Union Pacific's ability to grow cash returns for our shareholders," said Rob Knight, Union Pacific chief financial officer. "This is consistent with our current financial guidance to maintain a dividend payout ratio between 40 and 45 percent."
