Royal Caribbean Cruises (RCL) Tops Q1 EPS by 20c, Revenues Beat; Affirms 2Q & FY19 EPS Guidance

Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE: RCL) reported Q1 EPS of $1.31, $0.20 better than the analyst estimate of $1.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.44 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.38 billion.

"We are very pleased to report another record-breaking quarter and to be driving towards record earnings for the year," said Jason T. Liberty, executive vice president and CFO. "The demand trends are strong, further exhibiting the strength for our brands and the public's growing propensity to cruise."

GUIDANCE:

Royal Caribbean Cruises sees Q2 2019 EPS of $2.45-$2.50, versus the consensus of $2.49.

Royal Caribbean Cruises sees FY2019 EPS of $9.65-$9.85, versus the consensus of $9.95.
