MVC Capital (NYSE: MVC) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.17), $0.29 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $6.44 million versus the consensus estimate of $7.8 million.

• For the first quarter of fiscal 2019, the Company earned interest income of $5.4 million and dividend and fee income of $1.1 million, compared to $4.3 million and $0.9 million, respectively, for the same quarter of fiscal 2018.
• The Company reported total operating income of $6.4 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2019, compared to $5.1 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2018.
• The Company reported net operating income of $1.4 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2019, compared to a net operating loss of $2.5 million for the same quarter in fiscal 2018.
