McDonald's (MCD) Tops Q4 EPS by 8c, U.S. Comps Increase 2.3%

McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) reported Q4 EPS of $1.97, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $1.89. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.16 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.17 billion.

• Global comparable sales increased 4.4%, reflecting positive comparable sales across all segments.
• In the U.S., fourth quarter comparable sales increased 2.3%, driven by growth in average check resulting from both product mix shifts and menu price increases.
