McDonald's (MCD) Tops Q3 EPS by 11c

McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) reported Q3 EPS of $2.10, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $1.99. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.37 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.32 billion.

• Global comparable sales increased 4.2%, reflecting positive comparable sales in all segments
• In the U.S., third quarter comparable sales increased 2.4%, driven by growth in average check resulting from both product mix shifts and menu price increases
