Spectra Energy Partners (SEP) Tops Q1 EPS by 6c

Spectra Energy Partners (NYSE: SEP) reported Q1 EPS of $0.86, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.80.

• For the quarter, ongoing earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were $571 million, compared with $545 million in the prior-year quarter.
• Ongoing net income from controlling interests was $382 million for the quarter, or $0.86 diluted earnings per limited partner unit, compared with $363 million, or $0.89 diluted earnings per limited partner unit in the prior-year quarter.
• Net income from controlling interests was $407 million for the quarter, or $0.91 diluted earnings per limited partner unit, compared with $317 million, or $0.74 diluted earnings per limited partner unit in the prior-year quarter.
