Eli Lilly & Co. (LLY) Tops Q3 EPS by 2c; Reviewing Strategic Alternatives for Elanco Animal Health

Eli Lilly & Co. (NYSE: LLY) reported Q3 EPS of $1.05, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $1.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.66 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.52 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Eli Lilly & Co. sees FY2017 EPS of $4.15-$4.25, versus the consensus of $4.16.

The company is reviewing strategic alternatives for Elanco Animal Health, including an initial public offering, merger, sale, or retention of the business, and will provide an update no later than the middle of 2018.
