Fortis (FTS) Provides 5-Year Outlook; Raises Quarterly Dividend 6.2% to $0.425

Fortis Inc. (NYSE: FTS) today announced its five-year capital investment plan of approximately $14.5 billion for the period 2018 through 2022, up $1.5 billion from the prior year's plan. The Corporation's Board of Directors (the "Board") also announced a 6.25% increase in the fourth quarter 2017 common share dividend.

Fortis declared a quarterly dividend of $0.425 per share, or $1.7 annualized. This is a 6.2% increase from the prior dividend of $0.40. The dividend will be payable on December 1, 2017, to stockholders of record on November 20, 2017, with an ex-dividend date of November 17, 2017. The annual yield on the dividend is 4.6 percent. In addition, the Corporation has targeted average annual dividend per common share growth of approximately 6% through 2022 based on an annual dividend of $1.60.
