Petroleum Development Corp. (Nasdaq: PETD) 14% HIGHER; Announces Sale of Undeveloped Property for $354 Million.

Dell (NASDAQ: DELL) 13.7% LOWER; said today its expects second quarter revenue to be approximately $14 billion with EPS of approximately 21 to 23 cents. The consensus is $14.23 billion and $0.32, respectively.

Tessera Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSRA) 13% HIGHER; announced a definitive agreement with Micron Technology, Inc. entering into a technology license agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Micron will pay Tessera $30 million in cash for a royalty-bearing license to Tessera's Compliant Chip (TCC) technology.

Hutchinson Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: HTCH) 12% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.12, in-line with estimates.(0.12) Revenues were $169.6 million vs. $180.97 million consensus. Sees Q4 loss of $0.15 to profit of $0.15 vs. consensus of $0.28 profit. Sees Q4 revenues between $170-185 million vs. $195.3 million consensus.

Packeteer (Nasdaq: PKTR) 11% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.12, 2 cents worse than estimates.(0.14) Revenues were $34.2 million vs. $33.41 million consensus.

Broadcom Corporation (Nasdaq: BRCM) 10.8% LOWER; delayed results. Reported preliminary revenue of $941.1 million.

F5 Networks Inc. (Nasdaq: FFIV) 10.3% LOWER; delays Q3 earnings due to restatement, reports Q3 revenue of $100.1 million versus the consensus of $97.3 million.

Lear Corp. (NYSE: LEA) 9% HIGHER; entered into a definitive agreement with International Automotive Components Group, LLC (IAC), Lear's joint venture with WL Ross & Co. LLC (WL Ross) and Franklin Mutual Advisers, LLC (FMA), to contribute substantially all of the Company's European Interiors Systems Division (ISD Europe) to IAC in exchange for a 34% equity interest in IAC, subject to adjustment.

Skyworks (Nasdaq: SWKS) 9% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.05, in-line with estimates.(0.05) Revenues were $197.1 million vs. $195.43 million consensus. Sees Q4 revenues between $197-200 million vs. $207 million consensus.

Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) 8.5% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.18, 4 cents worse than estimates.(0.22) Revenues were $1.22 billion vs. $1.25 billion consensus.

Hyperion Solutions (Nasdaq: HYSL) 8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.48, 5 cents better than estimates.(0.43) Revenues were $223.9 million vs. $201.59 million consensus. Sees Q1 EPS between $0.34-0.39 vs. $0.33 consensus. Sees FY07 EPS between $1.62-1.70 vs. $1.61 consensus.

Brightpoint Inc. (Nasdaq: CELL) 7% HIGHER; Deutsche Bank upgrade

Sepracor (Nasdaq: SEPR) 6.8% LOWER; reports Q2 earnings of $0.10 per share, 1 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $264.4 million versus the consensus of $279.4 million. Also guidance from conference call.

Informatica (Nasdaq: INFA) 6.4% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.14, 2 cents better than estimates.(0.12) Revenues were $80.8 million vs. $78.67 million consensus.

Bucyrus International Inc. (Nasdaq: BUCY) 6% HIGHER; Q2 results, Stife Nicolaus upgrade

Thornburg Mortgage Inc. (NYSE: TMA) 5.3% LOWER; reports Q2 results. Several brokerage firms downgraded the stock this morning.

Capital One (NYSE: COF) 5% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $1.78, 27 cents worse than estimates.(2.05) Sees FY06 EPS between $7.40-7.80 vs. $7.91 consensus.

Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) 5% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.31, 1 cent better than estimates.(0.30) Revenues were $11.8 billion vs. $11.63 billion consensus. Sees Q1 EPS between $0.30-0.32 vs. $0.31 consensus. Sees FY07 EPS between $1.43-1.47 vs. $1.40. Also, announced a $20 billion tender offer to be completed on August 17, 2006, as well as authorization for up to an additional $20 billion ongoing share repurchase program with an expiration of June 30, 2011.

Amgen Inc. (Nasdaq: AMGN) 4% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS if $1.05, above the Wall Street consensus of $0.94. Expects 2006 adjusted EPS in the range of $3.75 to $3.85, excluding stock option expense and certain other expenses, up from the prior range of $3.60 to $3.70.

VeriSign (Nasdaq: VRSN) 2.8% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.24, in-line with estimates.(0.24) Revenues were $391 million vs. $386.30 million consensus.

Amylin (Nasdaq: AMLN) 2.7% LOWER; Lehman Brothers downgrades from Overweight to Equal Weight

Cognos (Nasdaq: COGN) 2.7% HIGHER; has been informed by the SEC that the Staff does not object to the company's revenue recognition policy under SOP 97-2 "Software Revenue Recognition".

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) 2.4% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $1.52, 10 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $10.605 billion versus the consensus of $9.96 billion. Sees 2006 sales up 12%-15%.

Gilead Sciences Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD) 1.7% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.56, 2 cents better than estimates.(0.54) Revenues were $685.3 million vs. $663.87 million consensus.

RadioShack Corp. (NYSE: RSH) 1.65% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $0.02 per share, including items, which is not comparable to the consensus of $0.12. Revenues came in at $1.1 billion versus the consensus of $1.09 billion.
