Omnivision Technologies (OVTI) Posts Q2 EPS of 60c; Issues In-Line Q3 EPS Outlook

Omnivision Technologies (NASDAQ: OVTI) reported Q2 EPS of $0.60, versus the analyst estimate of $0.51. Revenue for the quarter came in at $397 million versus the consensus estimate of $377.9 million.

"Our mobile phone and automotive products continue to be the drivers behind our strong results this quarter," said Shaw Hong, chief executive officer of OmniVision Technologies, Inc. "We are pleased with our execution in China, and with the emergence of India as a key geography for us. We are also excited about the launch of our high-performance stacked-die PureCel-S products, which demonstrates our technology leadership."

Omnivision Technologies sees Q3 2014 EPS of $0.22 - $0.38, versus the consensus of $0.33. Omnivision also sees Q3 2014 revenue of $275 - $305 million, versus the consensus of $331.7 million.
