Dollar Tree (DLTR) Tops Q3 EPS by 5c; Nudges FY14 EPS Midpoint Higher

Dollar Tree (NASDAQ: DLTR) reported Q3 EPS of $0.69, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.64. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.06 billion.

Consolidated same-store sales increased 5.9% compared to a 3.1% increase in the prior-year period.

Dollar Tree sees FY2014 EPS of $2.97-$3.04, versus prior guidance of $2.94-$3.06 and the consensus of $3.04. Dollar Tree sees FY2014 revenue of $8.52-8.58 billion, versus prior guidance of $8.44-8.55 billion and the consensus of $8.55 billion.
