Active Power (NASDAQ: ACPW) announced it has sold and shipped one of its CleanSource(R) UPS (uninterruptible power supply) 1200 kVA system to Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ: JAVA). The flywheel based UPS system will provide power protection and conditioning for Sun's Broomfield, Colo. based data center facility.
