QUITO (Reuters) - Ecuador's foreign ministry said on Monday it has sued Mexico at the International Court of Justice over Mexico's granting of asylum to former Ecuadorean vice-president Jorge Glas.
Glas, twice convicted of corruption and now facing fresh charges, was arrested this month during a raid by police on Mexico's Quito embassy, where he had been living since December.

LIMA (Reuters) - At least 23 people died after a bus fell down a slope into a river on Sunday evening in the Andean mountains of northern Peru, a prosecutor told local media on Monday morning.
The accident occurred on Sunday night when the bus was heading to the town of Sorochuco, Olga Bobadilla, provincial prosecutor for the Cajamarca region, told local radio station RPP.

HOUSTON (Reuters) -The Rolling Stones kicked off their North America tour at a sold-out venue in Houston on Sunday, with people traveling from various cities to watch one of the world's most enduring rock bands amid worries that this could be their last tour.

TBILISI (Reuters) - A female Georgian member of parliament hit a male colleague with a water bottle on Monday as tempers ran high during discussion of a contentious "foreign agents" law.
Video posted by local media showed opposition member of parliament Khatia Dekanoidze rapping Guram Macharashvili over the head with what appeared to be a plastic bottle as he shouted and wagged his finger at her.
