WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday ruled in favor of a Miami music producer in a legal fight with Warner Music over a song by rapper Flo Rida, resolving a dispute over the time limit for claiming monetary damages in copyright cases.

NYC sued for denying gay employees in vitro fertilization coverage May 9, 2024 10:34AM

(Reuters) - New York City was hit with a lawsuit on Thursday claiming it discriminates against gay male city employees by only covering the costs of in vitro fertilization for women and heterosexual couples.

Slovenia to recognise Palestinian state by mid-June May 9, 2024 10:26AM

SARAJEVO (Reuters) - The Slovenian government on Thursday initiated the procedure for the recognition of a Palestinian state as a form of leverage to end the conflict in Gaza, a move it announced in March, Prime Minister Robert Golob said.

Yemen's Houthis chief says group will target any ships related to transport of goods to Israel May 9, 2024 10:12AM

DUBAI (Reuters) - The leader of Yemen's Houthis, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, said on Thursday the group would target ships of any company related to supplying or transporting goods to Israel regardless of their destination.

Zelenskiy says Ukraine needs more arms to stop Russian advances May 9, 2024 10:10AM
