JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The top Israeli court heard responses by the state on Sunday to challenges against exemptions granted to ultra-Orthodox Jews from military conscription, a long-standing source of friction with more secular citizens now inflamed by the long Gaza war.

Australian trust in US fell, but security alliance vital, says poll Jun 2, 2024 08:54AM

SYDNEY (Reuters) - An annual poll of how Australians view foreign relations showed trust in the United States has dipped, although most (83%) saw the U.S. alliance as important for security, and 63% said it makes Australia safer from attack or pressure from China.

Nvidia says its next-generation AI chip platform to be rolled out in 2026 Jun 2, 2024 08:53AM

TAIPEI (Reuters) -Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang said on Sunday that the company's next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) chip platform was called Rubin and would be rolled out in 2026.

The Rubin family of chips will include new graphics (GPU) and central processors (CPU) as well as networking chips, Huang said at National Taiwan University in Taipei as part of the Computex trade show.

However, Huang offered few details.

Trend Micro taps Nvidia software tools for AI cybersecurity offering Jun 2, 2024 08:39AM

(Reuters) - Trend Micro on Sunday said it is working with Nvidia to create new cybersecurity tools that use artificial intelligence and are designed to protect the data centers where AI work happens.

The tools, which Trend Micro planned to show at the Computex conference in Taiwan beginning on Sunday, will be capable of running on Nvidia's chips and are designed to detect intruders and make sure that data is only seen by... (continue reading...)


US, S.Korea and Japan agree to hold joint military exercises Jun 2, 2024 08:32AM

SEOUL/TOKYO (Reuters) - The United States, Japan and South Korea agreed to hold new trilateral joint exercises this summer, a joint statement issued by U.S Department of Defense said on Sunday, after a meeting of the three allies' defense ministers.
