BONN (Reuters) - Nearly 200 countries will try to agree a new global goal for funding to fight climate change at this year's U.N. COP29 climate summit in November in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Preparatory talks among countries' climate negotiators, due to finish on Thursday in Bonn, Germany, have laid bare the rifts between governments over who should pay, and how much.

DOHA (Reuters) -The changes that Hamas have requested to a ceasefire proposal presented by the United States are "not significant" and include the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip, a senior leader in the group told Reuters on Thursday.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday that Hamas had proposed numerous changes, some unworkable, to the U.S.-backed proposal, but that mediators were determined to close the gaps.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Alphabet's Google was hit with a complaint by Austrian advocacy group NOYB on Thursday for allegedly tracking users of its Chrome Web browser, an issue already on EU antitrust regulators' radar.
The U.S. tech giant is phasing out the use of third-party cookies that advertisers use to track consumers in order to protect consumer privacy.
