WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. retail sales increased less than expected in May in May as lower prices for gasoline and motor vehicles weighed on receipts at service stations and auto dealerships.
Retail sales rose 0.1% last month after a downwardly revised 0.2% drop in April, the Commerce Department's Census Bureau said on Tuesday. Retail sales were previously reported to have been unchanged in April.

BERLIN (Reuters) - Russia has turned increasingly to blackmail and financial incentives to hire Germans to spy for it after the blow dealt to its intelligence services by Europe's expulsion of some 600 Russian diplomats, Germany's domestic security service said.

LONDON (Reuters) - European Union regulators proposed sweeping changes on Tuesday to the bloc's rules on labelling sustainable investments, to give investors simpler and clearer information and to stop "greenwashing" risks.
