Shari Redstone receives fewest votes in Paramount board election Jun 7, 2024 05:15PM

(Reuters) - Paramount Global controlling shareholder Shari Redstone received the fewest votes among other directors in the company's board election, a filing on Friday showed.

Redstone received 32.2 million votes for her election to the board, the lowest out of the six candidates, while also getting the most votes against her election at more than 905,000.

US FCC asks for net neutrality challenges to be transferred Jun 7, 2024 04:32PM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Federal Communications Commission on Friday asked the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals to transfer a series of industry legal challenges to its decision to reinstate landmark net neutrality rules to a federal court in Washington, D.C.

Strike by Canada border workers on hold for mediation, union says Jun 7, 2024 04:26PM

(Reuters) -A potential strike by thousands of Canadian border workers is on hold as negotiations with their employer, the federal government, continue through a mediator, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) union said on Friday.

Mediation is scheduled to continue until Wednesday, PSAC said just ahead of Friday afternoon's strike deadline.
