(Reuters) - Lyft is targeting 15% annual growth in gross bookings through 2027, the ride-hailing firm said at its inaugural investor day, adding that it expects gross bookings from its nascent advertising business to increase eight-fold in the same period.
The company's shares were up more than 4% before the bell on Thursday.

(Reuters) - The U.S. trade deficit widened in April as a jump in imports outpaced a slight increase in exports.
The trade deficit increased 8.7% to $74.6 billion, the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis said on Thursday. Data for March was revised to show the trade gap narrowing slightly to $68.6 billion instead of the $69.4 billion as previously reported.

LONDON (Reuters) - Precious metals company MKS PAMP Group, which owns refineries in Switzerland and India, has repurposed an aviation hangar in Florida, taken on lease, for a silver mint in a bet on strong North American investment demand, it said on Thursday.

ATHENS (Reuters) - Well-known British journalist Michael Mosley was missing on Thursday after taking a coastal walk alone on the Greek island of Symi, police officials said.
The TV doctor was last seen at 1:30pm local time (1030 GMT) on Wednesday when he set out on a short stroll along a path between Agios Nikolaos beach to the village of Pedi, one of the officials said.
His wife reported him missing on Thursday morning.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Nelson Mandela's "Long Walk to Freedom" was among a collection of books in jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's cell, according to details of his prison living conditions that the government submitted to the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Khan complained to the court last week that he was being kept in solitary confinement without access to his lawyers.
