JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel reiterated on Wednesday its refusal to halt the Gaza offensive for a resumption of hostage-release talks with Hamas, after mediator Qatar said it had given the Palestinian militants a U.S.-backed truce proposal.

(Reuters) - Toyota Alabama said on Wednesday it was investing $282 million in Huntsville, Alabama to add new production lines, which will generate around 350 new jobs.
This brings the total investment in Toyota Alabama to more than $1.7 billion, the automaker said.

VIENNA (Reuters) -The U.N. nuclear watchdog's 35-nation Board of Governors passed a resolution on Wednesday calling on Iran to step up cooperation with the watchdog and reverse its recent barring of inspectors despite concerns Tehran would respond with atomic escalation.

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico's ruling MORENA party and its allies will likely have 83 senators in the next Congress after last Sunday's vote, just shy of the two-thirds majority needed to change the constitution, the interior minister said on Wednesday, citing preliminary results.
Mexico's upper chamber of Congress totals 128 members.
